How Tree Planting Works at Bloomy Earth 🌳

A clear and transparent explanation of how, where, and when your trees are planted.

Planting trees is really at the heart of Bloomy Earth. When you use your Tree Credits, there is a full process behind the scenes: forestry planning, seasonal constraints, project allocation, partner coordination, and long-term monitoring.

This page explains how planting workswhen trees are actually planted, and how your contribution turns into real environmental impact.

1. Where Your Trees Are Planted

Bloomy Earth works at the project level, not the individual plot level.

Each project includes one or several planting zones managed by local forestry partners. You select the project, then our partners assign your trees to the planting area currently active.

This approach avoids micro-fragmentation and allows projects to grow sustainably over time. It ensures that trees are always planted where conditions are best rather than forcing them into a specific area that may not be optimal.

2. When Your Trees Are Planted

Planting follows the rhythm of nature.

Our partners plant during the optimal local season, usually aligned with the beginning of the rainy season to maximize survival.

A few key realities help understand the timing:

  • Planning is done months before the planting season.

  • Trees are never planted “on demand” at the exact moment of your purchase.

  • Planting occurs when the season makes it viable, not at the transaction date.

Depending on the project, your trees may be planted:

  • within a few weeks,

  • within the same year,

  • slightly before sponsorship when nurseries prepare early,

  • or already be one to two years old, which increases survival and early carbon capture.

This is exactly how professional reforestation programs operate worldwide.

3. Are Pre-Planted Trees Still Valid?

Yes — and in many cases, they offer stronger ecological value.

A tree that has already passed its fragile first months has a much higher survival rate and is already contributing to carbon capture.

Pre-planted batches also give:

  • more predictable carbon data,

  • smoother season logistics,

  • compliance with standards such as VCS / Verified Carbon Standard.

What matters is that every sponsored tree represents real, additional, and verified restoration, regardless of the exact planting date.

4. How Bloomy Earth Allocates Your Trees

Bloomy Earth uses a Tree Credit model.

Each tree corresponds to a verified planting operation inside one of our active projects.

Your trees are allocated based on:

  • the project with immediate planting capacity,

  • the ecosystem currently being restored,

  • seasonality and field conditions,

  • verified planting operations in progress.

This avoids oversubscription and ensures that your trees always support real, ongoing restoration work.

5. How We Track Planting and Impact

Every planting action generates a digital certificate, showing:

  • the project name,

  • country and GPS area,

  • number of trees planted,

  • estimated carbon contribution,

  • reforested area,

  • the planting batch.

Bloomy Earth maintains internal verification and receives periodic reports from each partner. Satellite and ground monitoring are progressively added as projects mature. Your Impact Dashboard and certificates summarize everything transparently.

6. Why You Can’t Choose Tree Species (Yet)

Tree species selection is handled by forestry experts on site.

They choose the right species based on soil, climate, biodiversity restoration goals, and long-term resilience.

Even if species listing will appear in future dashboard updates, the selection remains technical and project-driven to ensure ecological quality.

7. Can You See When and Where Your Trees Were Planted?

Yes.

Your Tree Planting Certificate includes the project, location details, and planting batch information.

More detailed project timelines will be added progressively as partners send seasonal updates.

Need Specific Requirements?

If you need trees planted in a particular country, season, or ecosystem type, Bloomy Earth can recommend the project that matches your sustainability objectives.

Summary

Bloomy Earth ensures that every tree you sponsor is:

  • planted during the right season,

  • assigned to an active and verified project,

  • handled by professional forestry teams,

  • documented through a transparent certificate,

  • contributing to long-term ecosystem restoration.

Your action creates real impact — not just a number on a screen.
